Current BFA Painting student, Noah Volk has been selected as part of the 40 finalists for this year’s AXA Art Prize competition out of nearly 600 applicants! The figurative art competition was judged by regional jurors from across the US and four exhibition jurors from the Drawing Center, the C/O: Curatorial Space, Project for Empty Space, and independent curators. The students' artwork will be exhibited in NYC at the New York Academy of Art this November. The 40 finalists are also in the running to be considered for the First Prize of $10,000 and the Second Prize of $5,000 to be selected by an esteemed panel of artist jurors, Ann Craven, Amy Cutler, and Kiki Smith.
