UNC Asheville’s juried national exhibition, Drawing Discourse, opens the 2nd annual juried exhibition of contemporary drawing with a reception and talk by juror Alex Kanevsky, whose work is included in the permanent collection of the Achenbach collection, San Francisco Museum of Fine Arts, and the deYoung Museum Legion of Honor. Kanevsky selected 31 pieces for the "Drawing Discourse" exhibit from among 529 submitted by 167 artists around the country. Some of the exhibiting artists will be at the lecture and reception, 5-8 p.m. at the S. Tucker Cooke Gallery in Owen Hall. "Drawing Discourse" will remain on display at the S. Tucker Cooke Gallery through February 15, 2011.
